“Rise n’ Shine happy campers, it’s Banana Day!!” “And don’t forget to eat bananas cause they’re Good For You! (They’re good for you every day.)” ”What is this, Veggie Day?” “NOT HARDLY!”
Dialogue adapted from Groundhog Day
To celebrate national banana day, we have had a day filled with… bananas.
‘Brekkers’ included Breakfast Banana Splits, made by Julianna. They were Spectacular! Yes, it’s true… banana bread for lunch. There are rumors of a banana creme pie later on… Anyway, we’re getting our full serving of fruit and nutrients today, so I’m sure that tomorrow we’ll feel nice and strong.

This is going to be such a cool tradition – I’m glad we found out about it! By next year, perhaps I’l own a yellow shirt…

Is there such a thing as banana overload?

I can’t believe how good those banana splits were… and that I don’t even own a plain yellow shirt. It’s terrible! Can’t wait till next year. I’m just glad nobody had the idea to dress up as bananas all day long… boy, that would have been embarrassing!

It was so sweet of Aunt Tess to come over that evening wearing bright yellow in honor of the day! She even had a banana too. It’s always more fun when other people get involved with what we’re doing
