This year for the quarterly birthday party with our extended family, we went up to Bristol, Virginia to our beloved Grandparents house. The weekend was filled with outdoor games, presents (!), swimming in the lake, tubing, and even jumping off a fifty foot cliff into the lake! It was a great time together as a family, and we all enjoyed it. Special thanks to all the effort Poppop and Nana put into making this trip one of the best!
(And congratulations to everyone who made the big leap of faith!)

What a thrill to have all the grandchildren and the Guido family at our house for the 3 day event. It was only posible with the cooperation of all that attended. I would term the Bash a huge sucess. Also it was a special time for those4 with birthdays.

The bocce tournament was a first for us – conducted very professionally on the back lawn with Joseph Squicciarini officiating. The winning team was Peter Squicciarini/Hannah Stelzl – no surprise that two of the tallest people present would be good at bocce.
Uncle Dave took the honors in the marshmallow golf game, but we suspect he may have cleverly weighted his marshmallow with a rock.
Julianna and I nearly broke the tradition of not posting pictures by showing you our horrific bruises from the cliff jump. We hit the water so hard that I almost screamed, and Julianna couldn’t speak for a full 20 seconds. That was the only dark moment in a bright and sunny weekend… and we do feel boldly adventurous!

Oh yeah, STP, that’s a biggy – “Julianna couldn’t speak for a full 20 seconds”. What, like that’s unusual?
I am way too proud of myself for making that jump. 30 feet (yes, slight exaggeration on narnia95’s part) is by far the longest jump I have ever made. I felt like I was falling in slow motion, which is entirely cool. How often do we want life to “slow down”?
It was really nice getting to be there with the whole extended family, always including the Guidos. What a lot of fun! I can’t wait until next year

I was determined to make the highest jump with Julianna, (determined to face my fears) but when I followed her up to the top, I had to quickly walk back down again. We’re both deathly afraid of heights, but since she did it, I suppose next time I’ll be able to. I jumped at about halfway, maybe a little more. But I really had to make myself jump. It was definitely a “Leap of Faith” as some have said. Agreed then? We would do it again… (For $money$)

Hehe…did we win the bocce tournatment? I think that was the first time I’d ever played it in my life…but, Peter, well, he was a pro to say the least…and, am I late on finding this or what? I AM your cousin…
