Pete invented the word stac a few years ago, and now he has an entire conceptual theory to go along with it:
I guess I will stac. No need not to stac. When stacing becomes tiresome, you have already left the realm of stacing, therefore you are not tired of stacing, but tired of the lack of stacing, in which case you must stac to quench your thirst, ergo stacing is perpetual and cannot be stopped, because the very essence of the thought of stopping would defy the very nature of stacing, thus leaving a void where stacing ought be, and since the nature of stacing is filling darkness with light, evil with good, wretchedness with unwretchedness, the void would be filled by stacing, which in turn would cause a void to be created, thus demanding the void to be filled again.
So why not STAC?

Stac was originally an acronym (STAC), but over time it became an actual word (kind of like LASER>laser). It’s pronounced “stack.” Derivative forms can be written “stac’ing” or “stac’ed,” although the apostrophe is optional.
In our home stac is a synonymous with ciao, goodnight, see you later, be well, be cool, take it easy, I love you, and goodbye. Interestingly, while commonly used as a verb (i.e. don’t forget to stac), the original form was a noun phrase.

That is the most incredible thing I’ve ever heard/read. I’m very proud of Peter for being so clever, and writing out this philosophical explanation of the derivation and lacking use of stac. Stac to all!

I’ve uploaded a slightly more formatted and easier to read version to the web at http://peterpiper.110mb.com/articles/tsm.html.
I’ve dubbed it “The Stacer’s Manifesto”, in honor of the infamous “Hacker’s Manifesto” by a famous hacker called The Mentor. To read that, goto http://peterpiper.110mb.com/articles/thm.html.

I can’t believe you came up with all of that…stuff yourself.

Thanks MC – I’ll take your unbelief as a compliment.

That’s how I meant it. You’re brilliant way beyond your years!

We’ve found a new use for stac, from Bellsouth, no less. They said, and I quote, “The STAC will be happy to assist you in getting your problems resolved.” It turns out stac stands for Systems Technical Assistance Center, among other things.
