Back from beach stop terrific weather all week stop ready to resume normal life stop

Well, there’s nothing like keeping things short and simple.
Ok, let me flesh this out a little. Our beach week, regardless of the hurricane activity elsewhere, was delightful – very good weather, huge house, and an attainable distance to the pier. These things are all very important
We got our entire Horatio Hornblower series watched (see previous post), and still got plenty of beachtime. There were calm days and rough days, which is the perfect mix, and I think we all got at least the hint of a tan. Except for STP, who looks like she may have forgotten her sunscreen once or twice…
No, I’m just kidding – she definitely got a great tan is the bottom line
Anyway, it’s good to be back. Sort of. All right, what I mean is it’s a good thing we got back SAFELY. But I don’t know if I’m quite ready to jump back in to my hectic schedule.
We’ll see…

Hey! I certainly didn’t get burned, if that’s what you’re insinuating, MonteCristo. Not my fault if I was blessed with olive skin that tans naturally.
We literally were beach bums all week – we didn’t do anything besides sleep, sun, and watch the Food Network.

Well, STP may have just slept, sunned and watched the Food Network, but the rest of us spent a lot of time in the ocean as well!
(That’s kind of the point of being at the beach, in my opinion.) Because of the passing storms, the waves were incredible and Grobanite’s board was completely busted in two after he and I took a monster ride in on one!

We also made terrific sand-castles in odd shapes! We had neglected to bring the sandcastle tools (i.e. buckets, shovels etc.) But we made two fantastic sandcastles which held up very well against the incoming tide. One in the shape of an anchor, (an underground tunnel at least two feet long included) and one in the shape of a flamingo. Very unique, but I think I prefer the cool ocean waves to the hot sand that somehow finds its way into everything

Well, Grobanite, what did you do? Anything to add?
