What’s Yellow, White, and Peels All Over?

by Julianna Squicciarini

Just a quick note to our loyal readers: this Wednesday, April 21, is Banana Day. This day is traditionally celebrated by (of course) eating bananas, drinking banana-flavored drinks (such as shakes or eclectic coffee smoothies), indulging in banana desserts (like banana splits, Bananas Foster, or banana souffles), flavoring regular foods with banana liqueur, and wearing yellow. πŸ˜€

Bananas are incredibly healthy for you, and have been found to raise SAT scores. Check out general health benefits here.

Let’s celebrate!

  1. When I saw the name of this post on my feed, I thought you had done a post on my new car!!! The banana split on wheels! πŸ˜‰ Count me in for banana-partying, it’s my favorite fruit, hands down. Party on!

  2. I think I’m supposed to like bananas…did pop pop tell you about this or did you find it? He was informing us about national pancake day the last time he was here…

  3. No, mashiki. YOU are supposed to do the post about YOUR car. Goodness. πŸ˜›

Actually, no, sumbudyspeshal! I found this all by myself! We “celebrated” last year (and maybe the year before…?), and I can’t wait to eat my fill this time around. I also bought a yellow T-shirt just for this special occasion. πŸ˜€
